Bridges in Melbourne CBD
At Collins Dental Image, our dentists have the experience and expertise to help restore your smile, even if you have missing teeth. A fixed, dental restoration called a bridge is designed to fill gaps in your smile where you may be missing teeth.
What Are the Benefits?
Bridges are made of porcelain, sometimes with a metal substructure, and look like your natural teeth. Unlike a denture, this false tooth is fixed in place, providing a more natural restoration. It can also be a good alternative if a patient is not a good candidate for dental implants. Our experienced team will help you choose the best option for you.
What to Expect
We will assess the teeth on either side of the missing tooth to determine if they are healthy and strong enough to support your replacement tooth or teeth. Based on your examination and X-rays, Collins Dental Image dentists will recommend the best course of action to replace your missing teeth.
It takes two visits to place a bridge. On your first visit we prepare the adjacent teeth with to allow us to fix the dental restoration securely. A temporary bridge is placed on your teeth until your second appointment when the fixed, dental bridge will be cemented on to the prepared adjacent teeth.
